Environmental Working Group

Hey, it looks like you are new here! I like new visitors. Hopefully you like it here and subscribe RSS feed Thanks for visiting!

Environmental Working GroupGet to know this group. Subscribe to the Environmental Working Groups RSS Feed or Email because this group cares about you. They care about your health. Safety. The environment. A team of experts dive into the government documents, research, claims, statistics, reports and they try to make sense out of them for us. They do their own research to verify what is or is not true and bring to light what we need to know without the bias and B.S. Amen and thank goodness!

The mission of the Environmental Working Group (EWG) is to use the power of public information to protect public health and the environment. EWG is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, founded in 1993 by Ken Cook and Richard Wiles.

Too many accomplishments to list. Ranging from sounding the alarm on sun screen danger, to releasing a smog report in California that raised eyebrows and created change. The list is eye opening and inspiring. More credit should be given to this extraordinary team for their efforts and triumphs.

Foundations and donations primarily fund the hard work that this non-profit organization does. Again, get to know this group and keep up to date with their research and findings. You’ll be happy you did. Here are a few eye opening reports and links that I’ve found insightful:

That is a really good group. I’ve been following them for several years and learned so much about the products we use.

I was just thinking the other day about EWG, partly because your trip to Washington D.C. I happened upon their group when I was researching sunscreen for myself and children. Their link to Skin Deep is phenomenal! This data base for cosmetics and personal care products is great. I have become really conscious of the products that I buy and use for my family. I limit the toxic chemicals that I exspose my family to, from what we ingest to what we apply on our bodies. The EWG has a great area for parents and grandparents to read also. Bravo for posting about such a worth-while orginzation!

Thanks Carol. They sure are a great organization, I think they need more recognition and support.
